National Gallery of Ireland 'Copying the Masters' Project

A project between the National Gallery of Ireland and a selection of students from NCAD under the instruction of Kenneth Donfield. The project lasted four weeks where students were trained by Kenneth Donfield in the atelier tradition. Students revived the old Gallery tradition of copying part, or all, of a painting as a way of learning about past artists.

My piece was a recreation of a section of Thomas Hudson's 'Portrait of Diana, Countess of Mountrath' which hangs in the Grand Gallery of the National Gallery in Dublin.
