Preparing Preparing and Preparing again for lessons has been so important, especially when completing a painting project with first years during a pandemic when social distancing has to be obtained at all times while students are tidying up. Prior to both my first year painting classes this week, I have been fortunate enough that the room has been free so I could set up before the students arrived! Having to use paper palettes as a strategy to avoid the extra time it would take students to wash up plastic ones as well as brushes and water containers. Being well organized and preparing materials before lessons is something I plan to continue within my classes so as to avoid extra time being wasted, putting out paint, clay, etc.
